What's your clothing love story? We invite you to join us in falling back in love with the things we already own!
Do you have a cherished item of clothing that was given to you by a loved one? Or something that reminds you of a special holiday, achievement or particular time in your life?

We're collecting stories to create a community archive of love letters to our clothes. To submit your story, email us a picture of your loved item and tell us a little bit about why you feel a long-lasting connection to it. We'll be creating an gallery page here on the site with all the submissions, to form an ongoing online exhibition.
Send yours to - info@threadrepublic.co.uk

The Clothing Love Stories Community Archive Project celebrates personal memories, emotions, and identity connected to clothing, showing how garments often carry deep meaning beyond their physical form. Each story in the archive reflects how people attach feelings of love, nostalgia, confidence, or transformation to specific outfits that shaped important moments in their lives. This project highlights fashion as a living archive of human experience, where every piece tells a unique story of self-expression and connection. In creative and expressive communities, even imaginative elements like a furry head can become part of personal storytelling, representing identity, creativity, and the powerful emotional bond between people and the things they choose to wear.
