Choosing the right electrician in Perth, Ontario for small home repairs and upgrades

So I ran into a weird problem yesterday — one of the outlets in my living room just stopped working out of nowhere, while everything else on the same wall is fine. I checked the breaker box and nothing looked tripped. The house isn’t that old (built in the 90s), but I’m wondering if it could be a loose wire behind the outlet or something with the circuit itself. I’d rather not mess with it myself, but I also don’t want to call someone for a 5-minute fix and end up paying a huge service fee. Has anyone here in Perth dealt with this kind of small job? Are local electricians usually open to quick repairs like this, or do they mostly focus on bigger rewiring projects? I’d appreciate any advice or experience with reliable electricians around town who won’t overcharge for minor fixes.

Hey, that sounds exactly like what happened to me last spring! I had one dead outlet in the kitchen, and it turned out to be a loose neutral wire in the box. The electrician fixed it in less than half an hour. I found them through this list of Electricians in Perth, ON — lots of local names there like P & C Electric, Electric Circuit, and Gardiner Electric. Some even mention same-day services for smaller repairs, which was a big help for me. I’d suggest calling ahead and asking for a minimum-charge quote before they come out. Most local electricians seem friendly and fair if you’re clear about what you need — and sometimes they’ll check a couple of other outlets for free while they’re there.
