About the event
We’ll be upcycling unworn T-shirts and giving them a new lease of life by transforming them into bags, yarn and accessories.
Skill Level: this session is suitable for beginners with no sewing involved, with the focus on the cutting and knotting of fabrics, adapting shapes and function and creating something unique. No prior experience necessary, but an interest in creativity is welcomed.
You’ll need: All materials will be provided but bring an old t-shirt if you can.
Led by: Julia Roebuck, Upcycle Fashion
Course Conditions: All young people must be accompanied by an adult – but the adult doesn’t need to take part in the activities (refreshments and sofas will be available!).
Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop starts, unless previously discussed.
Healthy & Safety: during the workshop everyone will have their own materials and tools. Sanitiser and disinfectant will be available. If you feel unwell, please let us know and stay home. The space has level access. However, the toilet is upstairs.
Cost: FREE to attend but booking is essential. 10 places available.
