About the event
These student-specific stitch socials have been organised so you can get support with sourcing fabrics and haberdashery to suit your University project needs, as well as to meet like-minded fellow students to share ideas and make new friends!
Hosted by our resident placement student Jas (currently on the Costume course at the University of Huddersfield), these socials are a great opportunity to gain inspiration from our wide range of textile supplies and other students across the textiles department and beyond! We have table space for you to bring along your current textile based work-in-progress,
spend some time on your Uni work, or to take a break from your studies and make progress with your hobby projects.
Refreshments will be provided. A £2 donation is suggested to help us keep Thread Republic up and running, however no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
