Machine Knitted Baubles

In this workshop we'll make can four matching baubles on a standard gauge knitting machine using a punch card. The punch card lets you knit in a fairisle style, using 2 different yarns to make a pattern. You can design your own 24 stitch wide pattern or choose from some existing cards and these will be used to knit patterned baubles. You can make completely matching baubles using single colour yarn or mix it up and use variegated yarn to make a set of bauble that are “sisters not twins”. Or in our case quadruplets. 

We will then hand stitch the knitted pieces to make the finished baubles and put them in nice boxes to finish the look.

Materials provided - All materials.

Healthy & Safety: during the workshop everyone  will have their own materials and tools. Sanitiser and disinfectant will  be available. If you feel unwell, please let us know and stay home. The  space has level access. However, the toilet is upstairs.

Course Conditions: the workshop needs minimum  numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this, the workshop will be cancelled and you will receieve a refund. Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop starts, unless previously  discussed.
