Time & Location
25 Oct 2025, 11:00 – 15:00
Huddersfield, The Piazza Centre, Unit 42-44 Princess Alexandra Walk, Huddersfield HD1 2RS, UK
About the event
In collaboration with EPIKS (Environmental Projects in Kirklees) we will combine creative embroidery and textile embellishment whilst raising awareness of active travel in Kirklees. Learn flashy embroidery techniques with textile artists Louise Goult and Kim Searle.
Reflective textiles are an essential part of the Be Safe, Be Seen messaging that underpins many active travel campaigns, especially as people will walk, run and cycle more in the dark as we head into winter. By combining creative sewing techniques, upcycling and interesting combinations of reflective materials we can encourage people to stay safe by making hi vis more appealing through items they have made that reflect (no pun intended!) their personal identity and style.
All materials used will be sourced from Thread Republic and EPIKS.
Sewing Skill Level: Beginner friendly
