About the event
One of three workshops across Thread Republic’s residency in Fair Trader, exploring aspects of Textile Art with Nicola Twynham. In this session, we will explore creating backgrounds and surfaces using fabric weaving techniques for you to stitch and build onto, creating unique pieces of textile art that you can use to explore themes of interest to you. Full of colour and creativity, you will be encouraged to work freely and instinctively. No embroidery experience needed.
The workshop will have Covid precautions in place. Participants will be asked to wear masks and will have their own set of tools and materials to use alongside the small group size. The workshop is on the ground floor of the FairTrader, accessible around the side of the building.
