About the event

Embroidery doesn't just have to be on a fabric base - many other materials can be used instead, adding a new and exciting dimension to embroidered artwork. During this creative and inspiring textile art workshop you'll explore hand embroidery on unusual and innovative materials including wood, metal, paper and more.

This workshop will take you through the processes and techniques of embroidering on these unusual materials whilst discovering and learning the possibilities and limitations of each material. By the end of this workshop you will have discovered embroidery on a range of unusual materials and will have a selection of samples to inspire future artwork.

All materials are provided. The workshop is suitable for people of all levels of embroidery experience, from beginners to more accomplished embroiderers.

You’ll need: All materials provided

Led by: Louise Goult

Healthy & Safety: during the workshop everyone will have their own materials and tools. Sanitiser and disinfectant will be available. If you feel unwell, please let us know and stay home. The space has level access. However, the toilet is upstairs.

Course Conditions: the workshop needs minimum numbers to run. In the unlikely event it doesn't meet this, the workshop will be cancelled and you will receieve a refund. Please don’t arrive more than 10 minutes before the workshop starts, unless previously discussed.

Refund Policy: your booking is secured by payment. If you choose to cancel, will will offer a refund up to 7 days before the event. However, after that no refund can be given.
