About the event
Following on from the success of our Pride in the Piazza event, all Creative Piazza organisations; West Yorkshire Print Workshop, MakerWorld (Children’s Art School), CollaborARTi and Thread Republic are opening their doors between 11am – 3pm for a FREE family friendly day of hands-on textile fun!
At Thread Republic we'll have textile artist Louise Goult 11-1 leading a mini stitched landscapes workshop and expert spinner Kim Pemberton 1-3 showing us how to work a spinning machine. These are drop in and free to attend!
All organisations are located next to each other on the Piazza in Huddersfield town centre. You can explore all of the creative spaces, join a drop-in workshop and watch demonstrations.
Two exhibitions will also be open – the Studio 35 CollaborARTi fashion and textile showcase at the Creative Wellness Centre and Textile Citizens as well as our Textile Citizens Exhibition.
